Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic startup team. As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, providing strategic guidance, and driving financial growth and stability. Responsibilities:

  • -Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the overall business objectives and drive sustainable growth.
  • -Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team, influencing decision-making and supporting business planning and execution.
  • -Manage the financial planning and budgeting process, including the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • -Monitor and analyze financial performance, preparing regular financial reports and presenting findings to the executive team and board of directors.
  • -Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, overseeing financial audits, and maintaining relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • -Assess and manage financial risks, identifying potential areas of concern and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • -Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and capital expenditure planning to ensure optimal utilization of resources and maintain financial stability.
  • -Collaborate with other departments, providing financial insights and guidance on pricing, cost management, profitability analysis, and investment decisions.
  • -Evaluate and recommend potential financing options and strategies, including equity financing, debt financing, and partnerships, to support business growth and expansion.
  • -Lead financial modeling and analysis for strategic initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and market expansion.
  • -Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and potential partners, to support fundraising and business development efforts.
  • -Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the financial landscape of the startup.
  • -Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.


 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) as a CFO or in senior finance leadership roles, preferably in startups or high-growth environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to provide financial insights and support decision-making at the executive level.
  • Solid understanding of startup finance, including venture capital fundraising, equity dilution, and exit strategies.
  • Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing finance team.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of driving financial growth, improving profitability, and optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly desirable.
