Job Description
- Collaborate with product designers to translate concepts into manufacturable furniture products. Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and specifications.
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring that production schedules are met. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes.
- Work with suppliers to source appropriate materials for furniture production. Evaluate material performance and recommend alternatives when necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and support to production staff. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Promote a culture of safety within the production team.
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, quality checks, and materials used. Prepare reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control methods.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
