Job Description
- Implements work objectives and schedules for specific Logistics operations and/or processes in order to ensure that an effective service is provided to the business.
- Effectively follows up internally with various local logistics teams including Sales & Marketing department, and externally with forwarders, clearing agents and insurance brokers on all issues related to shipment delays and insurance claims, in order to ensure smooth provision of services.
- Assists in Identifies and proposes improvements of procedures and reports in own area to support the ongoing development of Logistics standards.
- Collects processes and maintains accurate data related to Logistics activities in order to ensure that statistics are established.
- Coordinates with the Sales & Marketing Manager to provide to internal customer’s professional advice and guidance on Logistics issues in own area, in order to ensure that high standards in Logistics practices are achieved and maintained.
- Reports major problems and areas of non-compliance to direct manager in order to ensure that a high level of logistics service is maintained and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensures current Logistics policies and procedures are in compliance Develops and maintains good working relationships with suppliers and other external agencies in order to ensure prompt resolution of issues and provision of high Logistics service levels.
- Compares Logistics cost between forwarders for his/her country market and highlights feedback to the Direct Manager to select the best services and cost in alignment with the group's corporate strategy.
- Ensure that all exports are documented correctly
Provide applicable export documentation needed by each country of destination
Ensure that export laws and regulations for export consignments under diverse payment terms are adhered to - Ensure efficient service to the business by setting work objectives and schedules for specific Logistics operations and/or processes
- Identify procedures and reports related to the assigned area of charge, suggesting improvements in order to support the ongoing development of Logistics standards.
- Follow up on external shipments with forwarders, clearing agents, insurance brokers and suppliers on all issues related to delay of shipments'.
- Ensure logistics policies and procedures are in adherence to identified legal requirements/regulations
- Awareness of current import execute regulations and Customs Tariff.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- Preferable holds a diploma/Degree in Logistics Management or equivalent
- Not less than from 3-5 years of professional logistics and operations experience.
- Advanced knowledge of logistics routing design and data management
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for data analysis and documentation
- Excellent analytical skills
