Job Description
- Design and develop comprehensive plumbing and firefighting systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications using industry-standard CAD software.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and system sizing for water supply, drainage, and fire protection networks.
- Collaborate with architects, civil, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation from contractors and suppliers.
- Perform site inspections and provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with local codes, international standards, and client requirements.
- Identify and resolve design conflicts, proposing effective solutions to optimize system performance and cost-efficiency.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal and client review.
- Participate in value engineering exercises and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on plumbing and firefighting system design.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing mechanical systems for large-scale building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of local and international codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, IPC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience in preparing technical documentation and reports.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
