Job Description

  • In line with the HR strategy of MSF Lebanon/Cairo branch office and in collaboration with the International Recruitment team, work on developing an HR market mapping of Cairo and major cities across Egypt.
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with professional associations, as well as with relevant universities in Egypt where recruitment potential can be explored.
  • Carries out recruitment outreach campaigns and events aimed at the recruitment of  medical and non-medical profiles with the support of the MSF Lebanon Communication department
  • Initiates and supports the development of promotional recruitment communication materials for all needed profiles in collaboration with the MSF Lebanon Communications department
  • Builds networks and communication channels to applicants by researching and contacting universities, employment agencies, recruiters, media and internet sites; providing information about the organization, opportunities; organizing presentations;
  • Implements the selection including but not limited to CV screening, Technical competency checks, competency based interview, facilitation of selection process, collection and verification of candidate documents and credentials.
  • Is responsible for the proper maintenance and update of the HR Software with the relevant candidate information.
  • Regularly reviews annual HR pool targets for medical & non-medical staff in collaboration with pool managers.
  • Establish a strong rapport with hiring managers at headquarters and in field offices to develop a talent management strategy to fill all needs in a timely manner. Ensure clear mutual understanding of staffing priorities and practical constraints. Guide the hiring managers through the talent management process where needed.
  • Manage communications between applicants, hiring managers and others to keep all parties apprised of the status of each search.
  • Manage candidate interview results and selection decision with hiring manager. Provide candidates feedback on interview/assessment centers results
  • Recommend improvements to current recruitment processes to ensure streamlined, cost effective services are being provided to hiring managers.
  • Provide support in managing the applicant flow and maintaining applicant flow statistical data.
  • Maintain updated database of list of qualified professionals recruited in Egypt to rapidly respond to talent management needs.
  • Facilitates the communication between the 5 MSF Operational Centers and the recruited people.
  • Ensures the administration of each candidate until the 1st departure.
  • Is the reference point for all international field workers both medical & non-medical staff recruited from Egypt for issues concerning their professional progress within MSF, maintains regular contact with field workers before, during and after missions and supplies them with adequate support and advice
  • Conducts on boarding, briefings and de-briefings along existing checklist in liaison with the Field HR Administration Officer
  • Works to ensure the completion of the end-of-mission evaluations to ensure career management, offering career advice and plans, keeps field workers informed about available training and retention efforts
  • Facilitates staff participation in the MSF Egypt associative life and mobility towards HQ posts
  • Any other duties and responsibilities within the grade of the post.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum a BA degree in HR/Admin or related social science
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Recruitment & HR Development
  • Commitment to MSF’s humanitarian values and to humanitarian work
  • Proven written, oral, and written communication in English & Arabic Languages
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word, and preferable HR database competence
  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills
  • Pro-active and resourceful, results oriented
  • Collaborative, constructive, team oriented
  • Flexible work approach and flexibility to travel
  • Master Degree in human resources is a plus
