Job Description

Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive growth in the retail dental machines, equipment's sector. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong customer relationships, expanding the customer base, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The Retail Manager will collaborate closely with the distribution, warehouse, supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to ensure that sales plans align with operational capabilities and financial objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management & Sales Growth:

o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current customers (dental clinics, labs) to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

o Regularly engage with dentists, lab. technician to understand their needs, gather feedback, and address concerns to improve customer loyalty.

o Drive sales by acquiring new customer accounts (dental clinics, labs) and increasing sales to existing customers through upselling and targeted offers.

o Develop strategies to expand the company’s customer base and increase overall sales in line with company targets.

Sales Planning and Execution:

o Create and execute annual, monthly, and weekly sales plans, ensuring that goals are clearly defined.

o Sales plans will be approved from commercial director & COO, to ensure alignment with the strategic organizational goals and priorities& ensure collaboration with Distribution, and Warehouse teams to align sales plans with operational capabilities, ensuring efficient product delivery and availability.

o Align sales plans with Finance Team to ensure accurate and timely collection of payments, minimizing delays and ensuring cash flow & Ensure profitability of special discount programs by working with the finance team to analyze margin impacts and negotiate terms

Supply Chain & Product Mix:

o Serve as a liaison between the retail operations and the supply chain team, ensuring that customer demands are met and that the product mix is optimized to match customer preferences and market trends.

o Work with the supply chain team to manage backorders and ensure timely product availability to meet customer needs.

Market and Competitive Analysis:

o Regularly analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and maintain competitive edge.

o Work closely with marketing and sales teams to identify new opportunities for product offerings and promotional campaigns.

o Provide insights into competitive pricing, promotional strategies, and product offerings to ensure the company remains competitive in the marketplace.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:

o Ensure that customer service levels are consistently high, with prompt response to inquiries and issues.

o Implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and address complaints or issues in a timely manner.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

o Regularly track and report on sales performance, customer acquisition, retention, and market share to senior management, commercial director & COO.

o Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make adjustments to sales plans and strategies.

o Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports, including forecasts, target achievement, and areas of improvement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

  •  bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, Sales, or related field.
  • Additional training in pharmaceutical sales or retail management is an advantage.

Experience:

  •  7+ years of experience in retail management, sales, a focus pharmaceutical Distributions.
  •  Proven track record in customer relationship management, sales growth, and business development.
