Job Description
- Process patient payments accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
- Issue receipts, handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment in compliance with company policies.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies at the end of each shift.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients and visitors.
- Assist with billing inquiries and resolve payment-related issues promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient financial information in accordance with HIPAA and company standards.
- Collaborate with administrative and medical staff to ensure smooth front desk operations.
- Prepare daily financial reports and submit them to the finance department.
- Monitor and replenish cash supplies as needed.
- Support other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience as a cashier, preferably in a healthcare or medical environment.
- Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic office software.
