Job Description
Strategy and management
-Work with and advise the Management team on solid financial decision-making to increase profits and minimize expenses.
-Manages the financial debt and financial performance of the Group companies in Egypt.
-Develops, recommends, and manages long and short-term financial plans.
Financial Analysis and reporting
-Provide management with analysis relating to deviations from agreed budgets.
-Conduct data analysis and provide financial forecasts and trends.
-Analyze and advise about the various components of the assets, and any investments or divestments.
-Assess company spending/ expenditure and provide recommendations to reduce them.
Accounting
-Review and control the Group’s financial statements, documents, data, and accounting entries.
-Coordinate and monitor book keepings activities and supervise the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Consolidates the control of the Balance Sheet and updates the fixed assets and investment list.
-Coordinate with external auditors to develop the annual audit and prepare the annual inventory and financial statements
-Monitor the company’s financial policies and corporate accounting standards and ensure accurate execution.
-Set and monitor tax planning and ensure compliance with related tax laws and legislations.
-Provide assistance and advice to affiliated entities on tax matters.
-Supervise the annual inventory for the evaluation of stock to reflect the real value.
Treasury & Cash management
-Manage the Group’s cash flows and oversee the Group’s treasury.
-Manage the company's bank accounts and follow up on current accounts and term deposits to optimize return
-Secure and optimize financial facilities and terms from external banks
-Manage the forex and hedging activities and other related financial instruments
Relations with banks
-Manage relations with the various banks and looks constantly to optimize the financial plans and terms and to maintain good relations with the key stakeholders.
Financial Controls & Governance
-Examine budget availability to coordinate corrective action when needed.
-Check transactions for close monitoring of the day-to-day business.
-Control key documents and payments.
-Analyze and control the company cost to enhance efficiency and optimize expenditure. Defines policies for corporate general expenses and monitors compliance.
-Monitor credit limits granted and cash collection to secure the company’s rights and evaluate company risk.
-Recommend credit policy and ensure compliance.
-Define internal financial control systems and work processes and ensure effective implementation and compliance by stakeholders.
-Coordinate with auditors & tax advisors to ensure compliance with Egyptian standards and regulations.
-Liaise with Internal Audit and ensure timely and adequate corrective measures to comply with Internal Audit reports as well as be proactive for the implementation of all internal policies and procedures.
Group consolidation
-Supervise the consolidation process at a group level, and ensure with his team that all documents and facts are prepared and consolidation is done in a precise and timely manner at each entity level, according to a plan and corporate guidelines.
Team and organization leadership
-Develop, motivate, support, and enable his/her team in the different areas and ensure team members are performing according to targets and expectations, and ensure proper interaction with other departments.
Job Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in business or Commerce or a related field is a must.
-Master’s Degree in Finance, BA in Finance/Accounting, CFA, CPA are a must.
Job Knowledge and experience
10+ years of experience in accounting/finance including a minimum of 4 years as Finance Director in a multi-entity and multi-business unit operation related to goods manufacturing, sales, distribution, and supply chain.
-Solid Knowledge of all aspects of Finance and Accounting including cost analysis and accounting, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping, financial statements, financial analysis and reporting, treasury and cash flow management, financial controls, investments
-Hands-on experience with budgeting
-Hands-on experience in implementing financial control and risk management systems
-Solid experience and at ease with banks Egypt, and experience with banks in the Middle East and Europe region is a plus.
-Solid experience and skills acting as Senior Business Partner, dealing and collaborating with the GM and senior management.
-Solid experience in managing a finance department and team
-Strategic thinking and analytical skills with good judgment and the ability to assess complex situations and risks.
-Proficient in the use of Office, financial management software, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
-Languages: Mastering of English and Arabic.
