Job Description

Job Purpose:

Overseeing the logistics process and movement, ensuring efficient and effective movement and transportation of goods aligned with organizational objectives across regions.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize logistics processes, ensuring timely delivery of products across regions.
  • Manage the customs relations and all the clearance procedures
  • Oversee ocean freight operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight negotiation to minimize expenditures and costs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing and service levels.
  • In-charge of the administrative management of export orders and transport of goods 
  • Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations laws, or procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with freight carriers and logistics providers to ensure optimal shipping solutions.
  • Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring operations stay within financial targets while meeting service requirements.
  • Develop and execute contingency plans to address logistics disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Identify potential risks in the logistics and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address logistics-related customer inquiries and issues.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics processes and technologies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Define and ensures compliance with operational regulatory procedures in place within his team and with his internal and external interfaces.

Job Requirements

Academic & professional qualifications:

  • BSc in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
  • MBA holder is preferred.

Experience: 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply chain, logistics.
  • Management experience in shipments and clearance experience at large firms.
  • Regional Exposure especially with companies in KSA
  • Experience using logistics management software and tools, including SAP.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong supplier relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding ability to work with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Team Management and leadership skills.

Language Proficiency: 

  • Fluent in English verbal and written.
  • Fluent in Arabic verbal and written
