Job Description
Job Purpose:
Overseeing the logistics process and movement, ensuring efficient and effective movement and transportation of goods aligned with organizational objectives across regions.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize logistics processes, ensuring timely delivery of products across regions.
- Manage the customs relations and all the clearance procedures
- Oversee ocean freight operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight negotiation to minimize expenditures and costs.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing and service levels.
- In-charge of the administrative management of export orders and transport of goods
- Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations laws, or procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight carriers and logistics providers to ensure optimal shipping solutions.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring operations stay within financial targets while meeting service requirements.
- Develop and execute contingency plans to address logistics disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Identify potential risks in the logistics and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address logistics-related customer inquiries and issues.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics processes and technologies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Define and ensures compliance with operational regulatory procedures in place within his team and with his internal and external interfaces.
Job Requirements
Academic & professional qualifications:
- BSc in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- MBA holder is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply chain, logistics.
- Management experience in shipments and clearance experience at large firms.
- Regional Exposure especially with companies in KSA
- Experience using logistics management software and tools, including SAP.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong supplier relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding ability to work with global and cross-functional teams.
- Team Management and leadership skills.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English verbal and written.
- Fluent in Arabic verbal and written
