Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced “Sales - Account Manager” to join our marketing agency and drive client growth, satisfaction, and retention. Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients to expand the agency’s portfolio across targeted industries.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales plans to reach targets, focusing on service offerings that match client needs and agency strengths.
- Client Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, effectively communicating our value and solutions.
- Negotiation & Closing: Handle sales negotiations and close deals, ensuring that terms align with company goals and client expectations.
- Revenue Tracking: Monitor revenue growth, creating regular sales forecasts and reports for management.
Account Management:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (creative, digital, content, etc.) to ensure timely, effective campaign delivery that meets client objectives.
- Reporting & Insights: Track and report on campaign performance, preparing client reports that outline key metrics, achievements, and suggested optimizations.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve client issues or concerns quickly to maintain strong relationships and client satisfaction.
Client Growth & Retention:
- Upselling & Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts, offering additional solutions to meet evolving client needs.
- Onboarding & Retention: Oversee smooth onboarding of new clients, ensuring a positive start to the partnership. Proactively work on client retention strategies to maintain long-term relationships.
- Client Renewals: Handle contract renewals and ensure that clients feel supported and understood, minimizing churn and maximizing retention.
Job Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Experience: +4 years in sales and account management, ideally within a marketing agency.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with core marketing concepts, including branding, digital marketing, social media, and advertising.
- Sales Acumen: Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and connect with clients and team members.
- Analytical Abilities: Comfort with data analysis and reporting to track client performance and make data-informed decisions.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational skills, able to handle multiple clients and projects efficiently.
Preferred:
- Proficiency with CRM systems for managing sales leads and client data.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, basecamp….) to oversee campaign workflows.
- Understanding of digital marketing and analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics) for performance tracking.
