Job Description
- Assist patrons in locating and utilizing library resources, both physical and digital.
- Manage the circulation of library materials, including check-in, check-out, and shelving.
- Maintain accurate records of library inventory and oversee cataloging processes.
- Support the development and implementation of library programs and events.
- Provide reference and research assistance to library users.
- Ensure the library environment is welcoming, organized, and conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to update and curate library collections.
- Train and supervise volunteers or junior staff as needed.
- Monitor and enforce library policies and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging library technologies and best practices.
Job Requirements
- 2-7 years of relevant experience in a library or information services environment.
- Age: 25 - 35
- Residence: (Cairo - Giza) preferred (Misr al gadida and near area)
- education: Bachelor of Arts, Library and Information Science
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with library management systems and digital resources.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Customer service orientation with a helpful, approachable demeanor.
- Familiarity with cataloging standards and classification systems.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability.
