Job Description

  • Develop and implement a commercial strategy for inflight retail (duty-free and non-duty-free products).
  • Benchmark and study global airline best practices to create a competitive model.
  • Identify and onboard suppliers, both local and international, aligned with route demographics.
  • Establish procurement relationships with FMCG, luxury goods, perfume, electronics, and local product suppliers at each destination.
  • Negotiate revenue-share models, consignment deals, and exclusivity agreements.
  • Ensure product quality, customs clearance, and onboard logistics.
  • Work with IT and e-commerce to create a pre-order and inflight sales portal (via website, mobile app, and IFE system).
  • Coordinate with cabin crew operations for inflight display, service, and stock handling.
  • Implement POS and inventory management systems onboard
  • Define pricing strategy and promotional campaigns.
  • Analyze sales performance by route, product, and load factor.
  • Collaborate with marketing for seasonal promotions (e.g., Ramadan, Christmas, summer).
  • Recruit and train a dedicated inflight sales support team.
  • Build training manuals for cabin crew for upselling techniques and system usage.
  • Set up SOPs for product handling, stock reconciliation, and loss prevention

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or Aviation Management.
  • 5–8 years of experience in inflight sales, travel retail, or airline ancillary services.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations and airline operational processes.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations for duty-free goods.
  • Previous experience with airline or airport duty-free operations.
  • Strong network with local product suppliers across different regions.
  • Familiarity with onboard payment solutions and POS systems (e.g., Omnevo, Retail inMotion).
  • Multilingual skills are an asset due to coordination across countries.
  • Strong commercial acumen with data-driven decision-making.
