Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The Treasurer works under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head of Accounts or Accounts Officer. He/she shall submit reports on the daily revenue and expenditure activity of the Fund.
2. Receive cash and checks for daily deposit into the Foundation's bank accounts in accordance with the accounting regulations.
3. Prepare daily receipts and payments in a statement approved by the Head of Accounts or Accounts Officer, attaching all supporting documents for revenue and expenditures and notifications of revenue transfer to the banks, which shall be reviewed prior to recording them in the records and books.
4. Receive and disburse standing advances in accordance with instructions.
5. Maintain collection and expenditure documents in special files in a regular and proper manner.
6. Perform other assigned tasks within the scope of his/her expertise.
Job Requirements
- Practical experience in the field of accounting of not less than 3 years.
- Proven experience as treasurer or in a relevant financial role
- Thorough knowledge of financial legislation, regulation and practices
- Knowledge of monetary market, investment management and financing techniques
- Working knowledge of MS Office and financial management software (SAP, Oracle etc.)
- Good with numbers and figures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized and reliable
- Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities
- BSc/MSc in finance, accounting or relevant field
