Job Description

Senior Budget & Control develops, installs and modifies accounting systems, records, methods, and procedures. Recommends and evaluates changes or enhancements to financial management systems and policies. Assists in assuring that Budget Office records and processes are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, divisions and campuses. Develops and/or recommends accounting methods and procedures as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and evaluate product costing using standard costing techniques for process industry.
  • Participate in Budget Planning, controlling and analysis budget report.
  • Reconciles cash and/or account balances as assigned.
  • Evaluate budget against actual performance, prepares forecasts and analyzes trends for business unites.
  • Prepare the monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements & analysis reports.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of excel spreadsheets including projection activities.
  • Researches discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation (e.g. budget).
  • Responsible for raw martial costing and P&L scenarios.
  • Mentoring monthly frequency for the utilities cost, the efficiency, quality.
  • Participate in preparing feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Prepare cost analysis, with recommendations to management for final decision making.
  • Participate in multiple, special, and confidential projects as assigned by the department head.
  • Manage day-to-day activities as related to specific budget areas.
  • Reconciles cash and/or account balances as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including the duties of other staff positions in the office.

Job Requirements

  1. Education and Expertise: 
  • Bachelor’s degree with major/focus in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or business administration.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in same field.
  • Generally accepted accounting principles.

   2. Competencies and Skills:

  • Appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate in oral and written form.
  • Operate a variety of office equipment.
  • Excellent numerical and logical analytics skills.
  • Strong analytical, financial and systems skills are required.

   3. Computer and Language:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel is a must).
  • Good Command of English language skills.

   4. Work Environment:

  • Working days: 5 days/week.
  • Days off: 2 days/week (Fridays & Saturdays).
  • Working hours: 08:00am - 04:30pm.
  • Annual Leaves: 21 days per year (available after the first 3 months).
  • Probation Period: 3 months from contract date.
