Job Description

  • The Alumni Officer will support the Student affairs department in the delivery of strategic, friendly and engaging events and communications for former students, and will be key in building and developing life- long relationships with this community in support of the University and its future plans.
  • The role is also to set up to keep alumni connected to each other and the university, encourage and promote the professional development of alumni on an individual level, and to keep the alumni community aware of the university’s developments and needs.

Duties:

  • Communicating with an alumni community on regular basis to update their data
  • Operating an alumni magazine/newsletter
  • Organizing reunions for alumni members
  • Arranging networking events
  • Promoting the alumni community to current students
  • Strategic planning for the direction of the alumni office
  • Managing the budget for the office
  • Responsibility for the alumni website and online community
  • Arranging for discounts, benefits and services for alumni members
  • Communicating with university departments and local businesses to arrange benefits packages for alumni members
  • Attending national and international events for alumni communities
  • Developing and presenting educational programs for alumni, including lectures, seminars, and workshops

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from business administration or any related field
  • Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant is a plus.
  • Any combination of education and experience related to college level work or experience in job application process, interview procedures, and resume writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use/creation of spreadsheet and database management tools
  • Exemplary organization skills
  • Emphasis on customer service
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities
  • Ideal candidates will have a nurturing demeanor and be meticulous, detail-oriented, organized, and
