Job Description
A well-known woodwork factory located in El Salam is looking to hire an organized and ambitious Purchasing Officer to buy Materials that are essential for our Projects day-to-day operations. You will review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels. For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate suppliers before making purchase decisions, by visiting location and examining materials
- Compare prices of different vendors for gaining maximum ROI before making purchasing decisions
- Negotiate with suppliers and work-out logistical agreements; including delivery date, quantity and quality of materials
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing, shipping and receiving of materials ordered for each supplier
- Monitor inventory and prepare early restock orders of needed materials
- Maintaining good relationships with different suppliers and staying up to date with latest market and industry trends
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration or relevant field
- 0-2 yrs of experience in same role
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and policies
- Excellent command of Microsoft office tools (excel, word etc)
- Excellent time management and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to details
