Job Description


Looking for an experienced and hands-on professional to take a leadership role responsible for the company’s financial needs who will report directly to the CEO and the parent Holding Accounting Manager. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who is a strong financial and operational leader, and wants to play an integral role at a fast-paced, growing company. 

The ideal candidate will provide strong management and leadership skills and be able to drive best-in-class financial and accounting operations across teams and functions. 

This individual will be responsible for the development of financial models and scenario planning, preparation of financial budgets and variance analysis, accounting and cash management.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the CEO to scope out cost base inefficiencies and provide macro level budget, ad-hoc analysis, forecasts and financial models
  • Negotiate debt facilities and accurately present the current and future cash position real-time
  • Play a leading strategic role in the management of company’s financial position, including regular monitoring and reporting to Senior Management.
  • Contribute to the closure of accounts process and to ensure that the annual accounts are accurate and produced within statutory timescales.
  • Support the development of capital and revenue business cases from strategic outline to full business case delivery, through assessment of the financial and resource implications of options being considered in support and delivery of the Financial Strategy for the business.
  • Represent the Financial Function at meetings of the Leadership Team, or other Committees and executive meetings.
  • Plan the delivery of financial management, financial reporting, financial advice, and support to the Senior Management.
  • Develop a strategy to ensure the finance team can support Management.
  • Develop a strategy to ensure the finance team can support all services of the department in providing best value and maximizing efficient use of financial resources, both in terms of revenue and capital expenditure, over both the short and long term.
  • Provide relevant financial implications, input or commentary to all reports produced for the Leadership Team and any reports required for external bodies.
  • Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transaction, vendor contract and payments, payroll, tax and benefit administration
  • Meet required filing deadlines with regulatory authorities
  • Manage and supervise core accounting functions and accounting books
  • Define and maintain financial and operational metrics of the company
  • Prepare monthly budgets and projections
  • Track budgetary expenditure and conduct regular variance analysis
  • Prepare financial accounts including balance sheet, P&L, and FS
  • Preparing analysis, commentary and presentation material for the monthly and quarterly financial review meetings with stakeholders
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost and expenses and drive data-driven strategy.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing available information
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of all supporting documents
  • Ensure and oversees the project finance process and liaises with banks, financial institutions and any other creditor for arrangement of funds, if necessary

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • A professional certificate is preferred (MBA)
  • Minimum5 years’ experience of leading a finance function
  • Overall minimum 15 years’ experience in the core finance and accounting function
  • Candidates from the contracting sector or real estate are preferred.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation & negotiations skills.
  • Candidate is expected to possess extensive IFRS and Taxation knowledge.
