Job Description
B-Main Duties:
1-Responsible for instructional development
- To follow curriculum design
- To keep a day book, recording and planning lessons one week in advance.
- To teach according to the curricula.
- To follow up on syllabus delivery to ensure the effectiveness of its goals, objectives and aims by meeting with relevant others.
- To ensure quality in educational operation
- To participate in preparing and organizing different trips, events and celebration
- To choose and use appropriate teaching aids and supplementary materials effectively in addition to the use of audio visual aids (blackboard, video,tape recorder when necessary).
- To design, prepare, and ensure effective use of classroom displays.
- To participate in recommending books for the library and students.
- To set exams where necessary and keep accurate model answers.
- File a copy of any BLM, or teaching aid created or used.
- Keep a copy of the teaching program
- Organize and file all relevant resources for each unit of inquiry.
- Organize school/class trips with the assistance of the SAO (Student Affairs Office).
- Participate in Outdoor education if required.
2-Participating in students development
- To analyze assessment results and to make appropriate recommendations.
- To evaluate student performance
- To assess the needs of students
- To develop appropriate learning programs, catering for the individual student as much as possible, but certainly differentiating with in a grade.
- To assist and participate in a support program for students identified as needing support.
- To observe and follow-up physical, academic, or psychological problems of students and participate in solving their problems
- To encourage students to participate in extra circular activities and school events in areas of interest
- To implement discipline according to the school discipline policy
- To participate in all activities and character building efforts as warranted.
- Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child.
Job Requirements
- To follow up new knowledge, new publication in the field and to make the best use of it in improving teaching within the classroom.
- To efficiently utilize New Vision International school's software program for all purposes. (Training on the use of that program will be provided by school IT Coordinator.)
- To attend further education courses as agreed upon by the school Principal or Director.
- To participate in staff self appraisal and assist in school self study.
- To ensure familiarity with all documentation.
