Job Description

  • The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of the organization's marketing and communications initiatives. 
  • Reporting to the Director of Development, this role will oversee a team of marketing and communications professionals to promote ABC Nonprofit's brand, programs, and fundraising efforts. 
  • The Marketing Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with program leads, development, and executive leadership to drive awareness, engagement, and support for the organization.

Job Requirements

- Lead the development and implementation of the annual marketing and communications plan, including digital, print, and multimedia campaigns
- Manage a team of marketing and communications professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management
- Oversee the creation of compelling content (e.g. website, social media, newsletters, collateral) that effectively communicates the organization's mission, impact, and funding needs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and community partners to maximize earned media and outreach opportunities
- Monitor and report on marketing metrics and KPIs to continuously evaluate and optimize campaigns and strategies
- Stay up-to-date on nonprofit marketing trends, best practices, and technologies to ensure ABC Nonprofit remains competitive and innovative
- Collaborate with the development team to support major fundraising initiatives, events, and donor communications
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the executive leadership team on marketing, communications, and brand-building

Qualifications: 
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with 2+ years in a management or leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, and traditional channels
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into compelling narratives
- Experience managing a team of marketing professionals and agencies/vendors
- Strong project management and analytical skills to measure campaign performance and optimize strategies
- Passion for the nonprofit sector and a commitment to the organization's mission and values
- Proficient in marketing and design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, HubSpot, Google Analytics)
