MEP Technical Projects Coordinator " Design / KSA & Egypt ''

Job Purpose:
Ensure timely and accurate design work by coordinating, monitoring and managing design / supervision consultants through the discipline design team; Liaise with client to ensure complete satisfaction on design related aspects of the project.

Responsibilities and Major Activities:

1- Coordinate with the design team to ensure timely and accurate management of Design work for assigned client projects
2- Actively participate in Design/Supervision Consultant(s) selection and contracting.
3- Monitor work of Discipline Design Engineers and Design Consultants to ensure design correctness and completeness as well as scope compliance.
4- Maintain record of Design Consultant(s) submittals and control in a timely manner the submittals/correspondence received.
5- Evaluate and endorse the variation orders/concession requests submitted by the design team for client's approval.
6- Review and comment on all drawings and documents submitted by design team and ensure the incorporation of all revisions on all documents.
7- Coordinate with home office for technical support required to ensure the correctness and completeness of design aspects.
8- Review and report to client all monthly reports submitted by design team including areas of concern and recommended plans of actions.
9- Facilitate meetings with design team, Sub-consultants and client to review design document and take decisions as required.
10- Review consultant / contractor work progress for contract payments.
11- Set up, lead and manage design team on site:
12- Set up discipline design team onsite with the help of Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.
13- Carry out goal setting and appraisals for team members.
14- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, filing of design documents and reporting to appropriate stakeholders.
15- Coordinate closely with Project Manager and Site engineers to get all site design work reviewed and approved.
16- Manage client relationship through out all stages of the project
17- Maintain client liaison throughout the project to ensure client satisfaction with design work progress.
18- Establish professional relationships with peer professionals in the industry.
19- Meet clients to obtain feedback on design work 

20- Maintain awareness of industry trends, methodologies, tools, templates and best practices in project management in relation to design engineering.
