Job Description
- Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making an investment or spending decisions
- Create usable budgets for the business, including evaluating the needs of each department in the long term
- Offer advice to the CEO regarding spending and budget questions
- Hire and oversee managers in the finance and accounting departments, including giving directions and delivering periodical evaluations
- Facilitate the strategic allocation of the company’s financial resources to support the operation & investment objectives.
- Appraise new & initiative funding opportunities & make recommendations in a timely manner.
- Ensure the most effective use of the company’s asset base for loan security and that there is a sound system of internal controls and risk management within the treasury function.
- Participates in the company’s strategy meetings, to identify the annual company corporate objectives while ensuring the integration and alignment of the financial strategic objectives within the overall company strategic plans.
- Cascades the strategic objectives to the company finance team, as well as ensuring clear objectives, KPIs, and action plans related to funding organizations, banks relations, and taxation are cascaded to their corresponding representatives on a company level. Monitors their execution and achievement.
- Performs risk management by analyzing the company’s financials and the project’s performance in order to take the necessary corrective and preventive measures.
- Monitors the cash flow forecasts and performs financial modeling of revenue changes and expenditure increases/decreases to implement more effective optimization of financial KPIs.
- Oversees and monitors financial services relationships with banks, external audit consultants, tax authority consultants, etc.
- Maintains and develops with the collaboration of the treasury function strong strategic partnerships with funding agencies in order to expand in new markets.
- Sets the company’s contract standards pertinent to financial terms and any other aspects that may have a financial impact.
- Reviews the budgets prepared by each business line and department head and ensures they are aligned with the company’s financial strategic objective.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance with preferably a Master’s degree or equivalent.
- Professional qualification such as CPA /CFA /CMA etc., is highly preferred.
- Minimum 20+ years of progressive experience in managing Finance in a highly dynamic industry, preferably the Construction sector / Asset Management environment.
- Implementation of ERP system.
- General knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and SEC reporting requirements for investments and other financial instruments.
- Have a strong understanding of fiscal policy and investment regulations
