Job Description

Job Purpose:

 

  • The purpose of this position is to be responsible for soliciting sales over the telephone. 
  • The Telesales Representative’s responsibilities include contacting potential customers, reading from a prescribed script, focusing on customer needs to close sales, and documenting customer information, purchases, and reactions.
  • Analyze the sales prospects.
  • Explore new leads, communicate with them and convert the leads to sales.
  • Interact with the Potential customers for Cross and Up Sales for product offering, brand awareness on a timely basis by meetings and calls.
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
  • Gathering and documenting customer information, payment methods, purchases, and reactions to products.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all existing and new launching products.
  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner.
  • Handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation.
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet the sales quota and facilitate future sales.
  • Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information.
  • Effectively closing all telephonic sales leads to meet up the designated target.
  • Contribute to process improvements by suggesting alternative solutions and highlighting challenges in order for the Team Leader/management to investigate and possibly improve problem-resolution methods.
  • To compile daily, weekly and monthly targets.

 

Job Requirements

Key Accountabilities:

  • The successful candidate must have excellent communication and persuasive skills as well as negotiation ability. You should be meticulous in keeping records, and able to handle all aspects of sales leads.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in the Tele-Sales field or other sales/customer service role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets quota preferably over the phone.

 

Minimum Education:

  •   Under / Post Graduate, BSc / BA is a plus.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written/spoken)
  • Ability and willingness to learn about products and services specifications and benefits
  • Patient and friendly personality
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection.
  • Working knowledge of MS programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
