Job Description
Operational leadership of an Safety team, providing plant support and assisting in delivery of continuous improvement programs to deliver a safety culture and safety and environmental performance that meets the company and local regulatory requirements
Provide support to the SHE Manager; Manage actions as per the Safety Plan, Coordinate and allocate jobs to the Safety Team, Support the Department’s strategic plan, taking active roles in strategies and initiatives where appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering. Alternatively, Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Industrial / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with HSE experience.
- Relevant specialist Post-Graduate qualification/Accreditation preferred
- A minimum of 5-7 years experienced as Safety Engineer
- Solid knowledge of best practices in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Computer literacy (MS Office,).
- Knowledge of Qualitative/Quantitative Risk analysis (QRA) & Business Risk Analysis (BRA) techniques, preparation, and analysis.
- Expertise in applying root cause analysis in related incident investigations.
