Luthier / Instrument Repair Technician

Melodica, a performing arts company, is seeking an experienced Luthier / Instrument Repair Technician to join our team. As our Luthier / Instrument Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining a variety of musical instruments, including guitars, violins, cellos, and pianos. You will work closely with our musicians, ensuring that their instruments are functioning optimally for performances and rehearsals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and restore a variety of musical instruments, including guitars, violins, cellos, and pianos.
• Assess instruments for necessary repairs and provide cost estimates for customers.
• Work with our musicians to ensure their instruments are functioning optimally for performances and rehearsals.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Keep up-to-date on the latest techniques, tools, and materials used in lutherie and repair.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues regarding repairs and deadlines.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
