Manager – Materials Planning

JOB PURPOSE:

Riyadh Air is seeking a Manager, Materials Planning to lead the materials planning function, line maintenance materials on shift team and materials planning teams to ensure a safe, compliant, sustainable, and operationally world class airline.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective spare parts and consumables planning ensuring aircraft maintenance OTP and AOG recovery in support of the safe and complaint deployment of the fleet.
• Establish, maintain, and control safety and airworthiness standards for the Company fleet to best practice standards and in conformance with General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) requirements.
• Develop short-, medium- and long-term materials management and planning process to ensure cost effective purchasing and maximising pool part utilisation
• Monitor inventory levels and stock holding, ensure currency with industry risks to fulfil timeframes and make necessary decisions on advanced consumption planning to ensure Riyadh Air has sufficient parts available.
• Work with pool parts providers to optimise stock holding to minimise waste.
• Manage a material sustainability model that aims to control waste products and achieve realistic performance in achieving Riyadh Air’s sustainability targets.
• Responsible for supplier relationship management and performance monitoring to ensure we measure, analyse and drive continuous improvement with minimal risk.
• Establish goals and objectives for the Materials planning team that aim to exceed the Riyadh Air business plan and KPI requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring adequate department staffing is in place and in line with the fast growth business plan to meet the operational needs of the department.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years’ experience in aviation material and/or supply chain.
• Demonstrated experience in managing aviation materials planning.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in materials management, logistics, warehousing is preferred.
