Job Description

  • To manage an efficient administrative system for the College's headmaster and to facilitate and administer communication to all staff within the college, including drafting outgoing correspondence, papers, and school documents as directed.
  • To line manage the administration and reception staff on both sites – including regular review and monitoring of work.
  • To support the headmaster in all aspects of their duties.
  • To attend meetings as and when required, prepare agendas, papers, and supporting documentation as well as take minutes and follow up action points where necessary.
  • To maintain the headmaster ’s diary, arrange appointments, prioritize meetings as appropriate, and ensure the headmaster is adequately briefed.
  • To manage verbal and written communications on behalf of, and in conjunction with, the headmaster , ensuring the highest quality presentation of documents.
  • To act as the first point of contact within the school for staff, parents and others seeking contact with the headmaster.
  • To receive post in all matters addressed to the headmaster and draft letters to staff, parents/careers, and all other key stakeholders.
  • To work alongside the headmaster and leadership team in the organization of School events.
  • To provide administrative support to the leadership team as required.
  • To maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • To attend open evenings and other school events as required.
  • To organize workload and prioritize on a daily basis using own initiative and knowledge of work, with minimum direct supervision from the headmaster.
  • To maintain relevant filing and computerized systems.
