Job Description
Objectives of this Role
- Maintain our infrastructure beside, building and setting up new development tools
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Provide technical support
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Job Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Must Have
- AWS
- Certification or 1+ years hands on
- Linux systems configuration
- AWS services (Computing, Database, Security, Queueing, and messaging services)
- Monitoring and logging
- Docker
- Experience with containers as build artifacts
- Configuration, provisioning and deployment to production environments
- Certification or 1+ years hands on
- Build and Deployment Automation
- Jenkins
- Gitops (Argocd)
- Demonstrable track records of implementing continuous deployment (CD) through to production
- Proficient with git and git workflows
- At least one year of experience with Kubernetes
- Good knowledge of Bash scripting or Python
- Working knowledge of databases SQL and non-relational databases like MongoDB
- Knowledge of microservices approach
- Problem-solving attitude
- Collaborative team spirit
