Job Description
- Develop and manage detailed mechanical BIM models for diverse projects, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications and BIM standards.
- Lead and supervise BIM modelers and junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, modeling techniques, and coordination workflows.
- Collaborate closely with architects, structural, electrical, and civil teams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly within multidisciplinary BIM environments.
- Coordinate and resolve clashes using BIM coordination tools, conducting review meetings and ensuring full alignment across all disciplines.
- Prepare, update, and maintain construction documents, shop drawings, and as-built models based on BIM data throughout all project phases.
- Implement, manage, and continuously improve BIM standards, templates, and workflows specific to mechanical systems.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance and control checks on BIM models to ensure data integrity, parameter consistency, and compliance with LOD requirements.
- Provide expert BIM technical support and consultancy to project teams from concept design through construction and handover.
- Participate in design and coordination meetings, contributing to discussions on system performance, constructability, sustainability, and value engineering.
- Generate accurate schedules, quantities, and material take-offs from BIM models to support project planning, cost estimation, and procurement activities.
- Stay updated with evolving BIM technologies, trends, and software tools, recommending process improvements and digital innovation strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and alignment of BIM deliverables with project execution plans.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10 year of experience in mechanical BIM modeling or a related field.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems design and integration within BIM environments.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate BIM models.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for BIM implementation.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work onsite as required by project needs.
