EcoLife is a growing engineering consultancy focused on sustainable design, cleanroom & pharmaceutical facility engineering, energy modelling, and BIM services.
Role Purpose
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing systems. The selected candidate will work alongside the senior engineering team, preparing design packages, performing calculations, and ensuring quality-driven technical output.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in mechanical design activities from concept to detailed design.
Perform mechanical calculations and prepare system layouts under supervision.
Prepare design drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, electrical, structural).
Review shop drawings and participate in design updates when required.
Support BIM and CAD tasks through model development and updates.
Participate in meetings when necessary and contribute to design discussions.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
1–4 years of experience in mechanical design for HVAC, FF & PL (consultancy experience preferred).
Proficient in mechanical design software such as HAP/Elite.
Excellent command of AutoCAD & Revit – mandatory.
Familiarity with BIM workflows and Navisworks is a plus.
Knowledge in pharmaceutical/cleanroom facilities is considered an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work within a team, follow instructions, and meet deadlines.
