Job Description

Role Purpose:

To be responsible for maintaining, preparing, and reconciling accounts and other financial documents as well as posting journal entries, updating financial statements, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, paying monthly payroll, and preparing financial reports. This position will require you to have a broad understanding of basic accounting principles and good communication skills. 

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Reconciling various bank accounts by compiling and balancing financial information
  • Maintaining accounting records using balance sheet analysis and general ledger accounts
  • Help securing sensitive financial data by assisting other team members with database creation and maintenance.
  • Correcting accounting errors and posting journal entry adjustments
  • Preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals
  • Determining the financial status and health of our organization.
  • Updating and maintaining general ledger accounts by keeping close track of accounts receivable details and control accounts.
  • Completes other accounting tasks as needed

Working Conditions:

  • King Mariout, Alexandria
  • Working hours: Working hours will be flexible based on bookings, not less than 48 hours/ week.
  • Working days: 6 days/ week.
  • Annual vacation:  21 days
  • Weekends and holidays are main working days due to the business nature.

Job Requirements

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • 3 – 6 years experience in Accounting.
  • Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles
  • Ability to perform elementary mathematical operations
  • Comfortable handling and storing confidential financial information.
  • Ability to compile professional and thorough accounting reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Good verbal and written English.
  • Preferably a resident of King Mariout or Borg ElArab areas in Alexandria.
