Job Description

  • Plan, implement and effectively monitor the project’s activities in the target schools.
  • Ensure high quality and timely project deliverables
  • Ensure proper support (procurement, HR, financial plans, and follow-ups) for effective project implementation.
  • Ensure proper data management for all activities and all beneficiaries
  • Ensure synergy amongst the different project interventions aspects
  • Lead on implementing quality activities according to the developed quality benchmarks and (SOP) from the organization’s departments
  • Ensure mainstreaming TDH Safeguarding policy in all the project activities
  • Ensure TDH policies and procedures are being adhered to improve operational efficiency
  • Work closely with the Head of Programmes to develop the operational project work plans and update them regularly based on the assessment of the needs of the targeted beneficiaries and communities.
  • Organize and maintain project files
  • Manage the organization project’s events and training sessions.
  • Manage relations with stakeholders: donor, Ministry of Education, schools’ staff, target area’s districts, community leaders, teachers, and beneficiaries.
  • Lead and facilitate project steering committee meetings.
  • Participate in designing and implementing the project’s documentation and communication plan; and promotional events together with TDH Communication officer.
  • Participate in designing the M&E plan for the project indicators together with TDH MEAL unit, and support in
    monitoring project activities and prepare timely field progress reports, using the Project follow Up tool (PFU)
  • Ensure that all logistical needs and supplies related to training, meetings and events are well coordinated with the procurement unit and prepare the yearly procurement plan.
  • Establish and maintain positive work relations with relevant stakeholders in the community to ensure cooperation and successful project implementation.

Reporting, documentation, and budgeting:-

  • Draft concise, useful, and analytical reports, case studies, challenges and other documents as needed on
    a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and as requested by TDH and donors.
  • Support the Head of Programmes in conducting any field-based assessments or evaluations.
  • Tracking the budget of the project activities, using the (BFU) tool on monthly basis.
  • Contribute in preparing yearly and monthly project budget forecasts and regularly reports on expenditures
    versus actuals.
  • Ensure accurate monitoring & evaluation and indicator tracking plans for all project activities, support the
    M&E team in developing monitoring & evaluation tools as necessary to monitor the project progress.
  • Ensure developing timely operational and quality technical reports as per the project donor’s requirements against the agreed indicators.

OTHER RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Facilitate and arrange for events and visits to the project.
  • Coordinate effectively and frequently with the MHPSS advisor, CP advisor and Safeguarding, Support service team, Communication officer and MEAL unit team.
  • Maintain close communication with other TDH project officers to ensure effective coordination across the different projects under the Migration program.
  • Lead in developing good relationships with donors, partners, government authorities to ensure continued support for TDH project and enlist their support and assistance in achieving quality results.
  • Network with other partners to support the project beneficiaries to implement their initiatives.

Job Requirements

Education / Qualifications:-

Bachelor’s degree in social science, or any Education/Sport/Child Protection/Climate change related field.

Experience:

  • From 5 to 7 years overall experience out of which at least 4 years of successful
    experience in Development program interventions and implementation with
    reputable humanitarian NGOs operating in Egypt.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable individuals.
  • Demonstrated community outreach experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with children and youth.
  • Awareness of the Sport for Protection programmes and of Climate change issues globally and in Egypt.
  • Able to work effectively within a team and / or individually.
  • Good organization with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Maintain close communication with other project team members, to ensure effective coordination and exchanges.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in schools, and with children and youth and on cli-
    mate change.

Languages:

  • Proficiency in Arabic and English, written and spoken is a must.


IT Knowledges:

  • Excellent Computer literacy (software & hardware).
  • Skilled in MS Office package.
