Job Description
- Provides technical expertise to support infrastructure operations, including installation, technical solution evaluation, design and deployments, administration, maintenance, and problem resolution to ensure system availability, integrity, and security (more into the operations, with a bit of development for automation).
- Performance monitoring and managing the system capacity
- Lead Intelligent Infrastructure and platform automation.
- Maintain current knowledge of VMware’s networking and security solutions, along with a high-level technical understanding of VMware’s product line and future product direction.
- Follow company guidelines for security in the deployment of VMware software and related components to VMware software
- Assist company IT backup team to integrate with the required VMware systems that need backup services
- Install, configure and assure continuous operations of the VMware reporting tool to report back to the contractor for the periodic billing
- Create operational documentation for the used VMware products, mainly vSphere, SRM, vRealize Operation, vCenter server, and vRealize Log Insight
- Assist with the lifecycle management inclusive of product upgrades of the virtual environment. The assistance is limited to the following VMware products: vSphere, SRM, vRealize Operation, vCenter server, and vRealize Log Insight
- Conduct a thorough health check and analysis of the environment
Job Requirements
- Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration, SSO and Password Management
- strong experience of Dell VXRail, EMC, PowerEdge server, or other forms of Hyper converged environments
- Expertise in VMware Virtual Infrastructure Deployment, Management & Administration for different VMWare products such as VMware vCloud Foundation
- Shall have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the following areas/ software applications:
- vSphere installation, configuration, and management.
- Design
- Troubleshooting
- VMware Site Recovery Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any other equivalent degree
- Must be VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV6 or newer) and have been certified for at least 4 years.
- Working experience with VMware vSphere 6.7u3+, preferably including vSAN, and NSX-T, or even better VMware Cloud foundation.
