Job Description
Provides primary technical leadership and documentation coordination on large, complex projects or multiple small and directs the work of others, including assigning responsibilities in a project team and monitoring their progress and completion. Works with project leaders to coordinate the development of staffing plans, budgets, and schedules within the project work plan; and works with Project Managers in the development of fee and scope proposals. Directs and mentors less experienced engineering staff.
Job Requirements
• Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Excellent grade is preferable.
• 7-9 years of professional proven experience in applying Egyptian, BS, and ACI codes.
• Highly proficient in structural software especially CSI Programs (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000), Prokon, RAM, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Thorough understanding of Structural Engineering of Building-Type Projects, Environmental (underground), and Steel structures/post-tension (preferable). Carrying out manual calculations.
• Coordinates their own structure work with other disciplines.
• Ability to direct a small group of Engineers and perform review tasks.
• Confidence to work within multi-disciplinary design environments.
• High commitment, ownership, and working under pressure.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Report to the Senior Engineer of the project.
