Personnel Specialist 

Job Description/Profile

Scope: Human Resources / Compliance

Reporting to: Head of Administration and Human Resources 

Person Profile

A key competency is to be a collaborative team member and value the collective ability of teams rather than traditional hierarchies. He/she should possess excellent communication skills and should have a diverse range of qualities and competencies. 

Responsibilities. 

He/She will be responsible for:

  • Managing attendance system according to the labor law and maintaining attendance records up to date
  • Responsible for all Personnel activities and dealing with government authorities, such as labor office, social insurance authorities, and building a strong relationship with them.
  • Managing and updating employees’ files
  • Managing the warning levels and the social insurance system.

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills. 

He/She should:

  • Be aligned with Kent College West Cairo's core values and beliefs.
  • Possess excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Considerable knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices. Interpersonal skills are necessary to deal professionally and courteously with other employees and the public and to diffuse volatile situations.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of labor legislation, labor law, and social insurance procedures.
  • Ability to apply rules, regulations, and correct administrative practices, procedures, and policies to employees and the public in a respectful manner that achieves understanding.
  • Ability to understand and present problems, analyze options and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Skilled in operation of modern office equipment such as personal computer, facsimile, copiers, scanners, personal computer software, and telephones
  • Skilled in researching and resolving complex problems in order to ensure compliance
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to explain complex policies and processes.
  • Ability to comprehend, process, and apply both verbal and written skills appropriate to the job
  • Able to use the school’s resources effectively and efficiently
  • Proven work experience as a Personnel Specialist for at least 3 years
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and labor law
  • Hands-on experience with social insurance paperwork is a must
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is a plus
  • Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting
  • good command of both written and spoken English
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • BSc/MSc in Human Resources or any relevant field
