Casita helps students from all over the world find their perfect accommodation through our online portal. Casita has dedicated teams positioned globally in key recruitment markets and are now looking at expanding their presence into the Middle East & North Africa.

We are looking for a World-Class Back-End Developer to join our Technology Team and make a difference.

If you think you are creative and passionate about making things look good and love sharing ideas and likes to be part of a collaborative team within a growing international team, then this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a good standard of coding and adhere to the same conventions as the rest of the team.
  • Leave code better than you found it (and fully commented)
  • Test your code, be it client or server-side.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ Years Experience in PHP object-orientated and mySQL
  • 3+ Years Experience in MVC Frameworks especially Laravel
  • Good understanding and effective application of Linux command-line.
  • Ability to code and debug.
  • JavaScript / jQuery / AngularJs.
  • Experience of implementing Google Analytics code and debugging
  • Experience of using version control (GIT and Subversion)
  • Working knowledge of XML/JSON and using 3rd party API’s.
  • Excellent English language command is a MUST
  • Good Communication Skills, Soft skills and Sending Formal Messages
  • Must be able to stay on top of advancing Internet and computer technology and its effects to the business environment
  • Be willing to work in a research capacity – to find and test and critically review open-source frameworks and technologies.
  • Ability to perform effectively to tight deadlines, work well both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude to problem solving and an understanding of the role of development in a creative environment
