Job Description

  • Prepare and control budgets related to spare parts purchasing and ensure adherence to them; identify variances to maintain control over approved budgets.
  • Participate in and develop governing policies for purchasing systems and supply processes to establish a unified approach for all employees in the Purchasing Department.
  • Supervise the development of departmental objectives, review detailed work plans for each section, follow up on implementation, and take corrective actions to address execution issues.
  • Ensure regular monitoring of demand plans and stock levels to take appropriate measures for maintaining balance and adjust plans when necessary to avoid production stoppages.
  • Monitor and supervise daily purchasing operations related to technical requirements to prevent any disruption in production.
  • Supervise supplier evaluation and purchasing activities on a regular basis.
  • Establish policies that ensure multiple suppliers are available for each spare part, conduct periodic evaluations, and negotiate for better terms and diversification to mitigate monopoly risks.
  • Oversee the creation of an integrated supplier database and ensure it is updated periodically to maintain continuous and diversified procurement processes.
  • Build and maintain strong and sustainable business relationships with suppliers to secure better prices and quality that serve the company’s interests.
  • Develop and implement plans to reduce or stabilize prices and improve payment terms with suppliers, ensuring adherence to the department’s approved budget.
  • Analyze product costs and evaluate deviations from standard purchase and storage costs to achieve the lowest possible cost for the final product and increase company profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and regulations to guarantee all department members adhere to internal and external standards.
  • Review and approve all periodic reports issued by the department according to the company’s reporting system to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Analyze purchasing data, supplier performance, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance procurement efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports related to spare parts purchasing operations to ensure a high level of efficiency and effectiveness in the procurement process.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Language Skills: Very good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Other Skills: Strong negotiation, management, and communication abilities.
