Senior Maintenance Engineer

Major Job Responsibilities
 

Functional

• Responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in the aimed industrial settings
• Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults, and diagnose breakdown problems to ensure that plant and machinery downtime is minimized and ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
• Arrange with the Plant Manager the availability of spares, tools, fixtures, components, and specialists to meet the requirements of each repair and maintenance activity
• Prepare report, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plants operations and solving maintenance-related problems as well as submitting a weekly report on the machines’ conditions
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments on maintenance activities in order to ensure that maintenance provision meets the ongoing needs of production process
• Maintain data and drawings on ERP system to ensure that all details and maintenance record of the machines are tracked, and repairs are monitored and prepare needed requisitions 
• Identify and recommend equipment and machinery for Plant Manager and Purchasing Department and provide technical specification, perform technical evaluation of equipment and suppliers also ensure reliable ordering process and follow up where appropriate
• Ensures that maintenance technicians are hired and adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner
• Initiate a proper preventive maintenance plan for all equipment 

Health & Safety

• Ensure alignment to the safety rules and policies by performing a daily safety and quality assessment of the site
• Continuously train team members on the safety procedures and ensure their proper involvement
• Ensure all aspects of engineering activities are carried out in a safe manner and comply with the relevant health and safety legislation
