Job Description
- Procurement Management: Identify and source construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements and company standards.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Cost Control: Implement cost-effective procurement strategies while ensuring quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Technical Evaluation: Collaborate with the engineering and project teams to assess technical specifications and ensure material compliance with project needs.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, new products, and industry best practices to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Inventory Coordination: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and coordinate with warehouse teams to avoid shortages or excesses.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-10 years of experience as a Purchase Engineer in the construction industry.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of construction materials and market dynamics.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
