Job Description
We are a contracting company based in Dammam- Saudi Arabia and looking for a highly-motivated Electrical Site Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate is expected to handle the following duties and responsibilities.
HE
- Is responsible for implementations and monitoring of all electrical/ mechanical related works at site;
- Prepares and assigns resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all related works prior to execution;
- Plan and analyze all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Asst. Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site;
- Revises construction drawings, calculations & specifications prior to execution;
- Manages directly and provide engineering and technical support to all the electrical workgroups at the site;
- Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works;
- Prepares materials take-off;
- Checks technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly;
- Prepares site reports and filling in other paperwork;
- Manages site works documentation, follow up monthly, weekly, daily technical reports and compare it with the proposed project time schedules;
- Reviews and Prepares Technical and Material Submittal;
- Implements Low Voltage and Low Current systems (BMS, Public Address, Access Control, Fire alarm, Fire Fighting, KNX, Intrusion, Queuing, CCTV, and Car Parking system).
- Coordinates between technical office and Site works;
- Follows up subcontractor’s progress and quality;
- Plans and schedules the projects tasks in liaison with planning engineer to be in parallel with the project target;
- Pushes the progress to be as per the planning;
- Arranges material requisitions;
- Records and reports the material delivery;
- Records and report material store inventories along with the planned works to avoid works delay due to any item shortage;
- Reduces material losses due to wrong handling/storage methodologies;
- Manages inspections at the site for final handing over of all electrical systems.
- Prepares and submits project documents, which includes but not limited to:
Daily reports.
Material Inspection Requests (MIR)
Work inspection requests (WIR)
Requests for information (RFI)
Variation orders.
- Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works;
- Monitors delivery of services design documents;
- Highlights possible late delivery prior to the event;
- Carries out site inspections and assessments as required and prepares reports when required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Cairo, Ain Shams, and Helwan Universities are preferred)
- Very good knowledge of LV systems (Panels, Transformers, Lighting, Cables, Trays.) & Light current systems (Data, CCTV, PA, KNX, BMS, PA MATV…)
- Min 5 years of experience at same position at least at building & construction field
- Excellent Command English language
- Strong AutoCAD Experience
- Strong Work & time management
- Delegation of authority & responsibility Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
