We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.


Our unsecured lending portfolio is a key growth area for WPB, with plans to significantly grow our credit card, loan, and instalment lending businesses. A key part of this ambition is supported by our Portfolio Management activities. We are seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Head of Portfolio Management for Unsecured Lending WPB UAE. This role reports to the Head of Unsecured Lending UAE and is an integral part of HSBC UAE’s Retail proposition.


In this role, you will:


•    Agree and oversee commercial execution plans, achieving agreed revenue, spend and balance outcomes 


•    Drive cost efficiencies across all commercial activities 


•    Define best in class portfolio management / customer lifecycle management capabilities and deliver across markets at scale, with a strong emphasis on digital / mobile development 


•    Improve customer experience across all our commercial activities 


•    Track and manage the relevant performance indicators vs benchmarks


•    Ensure an optimal balance between medium term investments and versus rapid progress with balance / revenue building short term opportunities 


•    Nurture a highly-motivated team through effective communication of business directions and objectives 


•    Owns P&L reporting, P&L review for highs / lows, P&L presentation to senior stakeholders, and P&L R&Os identification, prioritization and implementation 


•    Drive Revenue Optimization initiatives, working closely with the Schemes, Partnerships, Finance, Marketing, Product, Schemes and D&A


•    Drive Balance Build actions to grow gross and revolving balances with implementation of Line Management strategies


•    Grow ancillary products adoption – Supplementary cards penetration through both New to Bank and Existing Customers and Upgrade program to drive engagement revenues


•    Closely works with Credit Risk and Non Financial Risk functions to drive optimal Risk Reward for Unsecured Lending


•    Drive Fee Lines revenue by optimizing where needed, frequent benchmarking to the market, following FVE principles, and reducing leakages
