Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.
- Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
- Forecast quarterly and annual profits
- Prepare cost projections
- Analyze and report on current financial status
- Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
- Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities
- Coordinate with the finance manager and the executive team on long-term financial planning
- Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
- Participate in budgeting (for departments and projects)
- Review accounting transactions for data accuracy
- Establish financial policies
Job Requirements
Responsibilities
- 5+ years FP&A experience, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
- Experience working in either large scale commercial projects or with large multi-nationals is preferred Individual needs to be able to demonstrate commercial basis and a desire to understand businesses
- Individual should be curious, analytical in nature and naturally seeks insights as a means to measure and improve business performance
- Individual needs to be highly proactive and can demonstrate high levels of initiative
- Previous experience or working knowledge of SAP
- Bachelor’s degree, accounting
- Qualification eg ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA is preferred
