Job Description

  • Develop and deliver engaging English language arts lessons aligned with the American curriculum for middle school students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and educational technologies to address diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities that promote language proficiency and literary appreciation.
  • Organize and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with school policies.
  • Implement classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Stay current with educational best practices and curriculum updates relevant to the American division.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years and maximum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a middle school setting.
  • Familiarity with the American curriculum and standards for English language arts.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices.
  • Willingness to participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
