Job Description

Responsibilities:

Oversee the development of 15-20 films over the next 2-3 years for a global film slate that comprise English language global films (mid to large budget) as well as local language films (modest budgets) for the MENA region. Review and develop the existing team and structure and create a unit fit for purpose for 2023. Oversee the production of 4 -5 films per year. Work with co-production and distribution partners worldwide on the films. Attend and take films to festivals worldwide. Attend and speak on panels regarding the film business in the MENA region. Manage internal communication within MBC Studios to facilitate financial and business support. Develop local talent to improve both writing and directing skills. Thought leader for MBC films as an industry leader in the region. Provide motivating leadership to MBC Studios film team and the broader group.

Requirements:

Holder of a Bacehlor of Arts degree Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar role Experience being Lead Producer or Studio Executive on large scale films over 50M as well as smaller under 10M Have extensive contact list in EU, US, CA & AU of film writers, directors and crew to be used in future MBC productions Up to date with the latest in film production Strong planning & organizational skills Strong management skills, able to delegate and collaborate Excellent communication skills Effective team leadership and motivational skills
