About Our ClientWe are collaborating with a global investment fund based in Qatar, playing a crucial role in managing substantial assets and contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans for their funds. This role falls within their private assets team, focused on Venture Capital fund selection and developing a co-investment pipeline for the fund's regional teams. What the job involvesAs an investment executive within the private assets team, your role will encompass:Conduct due diligence on Venture Capital funds and develop a strategy for VC fund selection.Take a lead role in the establishment of local funds, actively promoting Doha as an appealing hub for foreign asset businessesContribute to shaping and executing strategic plans for the funds and assigned sub-asset classes, collaborating with external investment managers.Drive the creation of a co-investment pipeline, ensuring alignment with risk-appetite for optimal returns, benefiting both the internal investment and regional teams.Oversee portfolio reviews and monitoring processes to guarantee investments consistently surpass respective benchmarks on a risk-adjusted basis.Who we are looking forExperience in Venture Capital fund selection (VC FOFs) is essential.An in-depth expertise in private asset classes and growth/VC relationships at a high level.Background from an alternative asset manager, specialised fund of fund boutique or fund advisory. Investment banking and broader advisory backgrounds will also be consideredDemonstrated ability to strategise and execute plans for private equity funds or similar financial institutionsExperience or understanding of the gulf investment landscape would be highly beneficial.Fluency in English. Proficiency in Arabic is advantageousEducational background of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
