Job DescriptionWe are delighted to announce a new GEMS school opening in Dubai for the academic year beginning September 2026. The school will offer a high-quality British curriculum at an affordable price point.The new school will closely integrate the Grow, Flourish and Succeed theme into its educational offering, pedagogical practice, and overall ethos. The school with its state-of-the-art facilities will provide a well-rounded education to students from FS1 to Year 8 in the founding year, growing subsequently each year into an all-through school.We are seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to drive educational, operational, and commercial excellence creating an environment where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially ensuring world-class outcomes for GEMS students.We are looking for an outstanding leader with:Educational expertise and a proven track record of developing and sustaining a high standard learning environment.Experience in leading strategic processes in a school to achieve targets. Excellent communication skills and strategies that will motivate and inspire all stakeholders.The ability to provide direction, set expectations and inspire staff through communicating goals clearly and empowering collaboration.Successful and demonstrable experience of parental engagement and evidence of creating community partnerships that enhance learning.A cultural understanding and ethos to lead both staff and students to continually strive for excellence.SkillsThe ideal candidate should: Have experience working within a start-up environment with a successful track record of student achievement and attainment in a National Curriculum for England School.Be an effective and dynamic leader with exceptional communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of driving school development in previous positions.Have extensive experience of leading a school through inspection, having significant impact during the process.Be able to demonstrate successful experience of leading and managing large numbers of staff and experienced headteachers.Be able to demonstrate genuine passion towards the wider co-curricular life of a school.Have a keen focus on parental engagement, student partnerships and community development.GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff.
