Electrical Engineer

Note: This is for one of our clients, not avua directlyKey Responsibilities:Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop electrical designs, specifications, and calculations for energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.Perform load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies to optimize system performance and reliability.Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical reports, and documentation for electrical equipment and installations.Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.Conduct site assessments, surveys, and inspections to assess electrical infrastructure and recommend improvements or modifications as needed.Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals, permits, and compliance with local regulations.Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address technical issues, resolve conflicts, and achieve project objectives.Implement quality assurance procedures and conduct inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.Required Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on energy projects (renewable energy, power generation, transmission, distribution, etc.).Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, etc.) and familiarity with project management tools.Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems analysis, equipment sizing, and electrical codes and standards.Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages spoken in the Middle East is advantageous.
