Job Summary As a Backend Technical Lead, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust backend solutions. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with teams to ensure the efficiency, security, and high performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will exhibit profound expertise in Ruby on Rails development and a commitment to impeccable coding standards.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend solutions utilizing Ruby on Rails.Architect and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between system components.Oversee the efficiency, security, and peak performance of backend systems through meticulous oversight and strategic optimization.Champion the creation of clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.Drive the development and execution of comprehensive automated testing frameworks to ensure uncompromising product quality.Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to more junior engineers, nurturing their growth and development.Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leading initiatives to refine and enhance development processes and practices.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Around 10 years of distinguished professional experience in backend software development.Profound proficiency in Ruby programming language and the Ruby on Rails framework.Comprehensive understanding of advanced backend development principles.Extensive hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.Outstanding communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate seamlessly across multidisciplinary teams.Strong familiarity with testing frameworks for automated testing.Preferred experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker is advantageous.Experience with message brokers is highly desirable.Demonstrated success in performance tuning and optimization techniques is a significant asset.Participation in open-source projects or involvement in the tech community is a plus.
