SAP MM/WM Consultant

Responsibilities:Lead and manage SAP MM/WM projects from initiation to post-implementation support, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors, to gather business requirements and design SAP MM/WM solutions that align with organizational goals.Conduct detailed analysis of existing supply chain processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for process optimization and automation.Configure and customize SAP MM/WM modules to meet business requirements, including material master data management, purchasing, inventory management, goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, and physical inventory.Define and implement warehouse structures, including storage types, storage sections, storage bins, and storage unit management, to optimize warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.Perform data migration activities, including data extraction, cleansing, and transformation, to ensure smooth transition from legacy systems to SAP MM/WM.Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate the functionality and performance of SAP MM/WM solutions.Provide end-user training and support during the implementation phase and post-implementation to ensure successful adoption of SAP MM/WM systems and processes.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and system defects related to SAP MM/WM modules, working closely with technical teams and SAP support to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.Stay current with SAP MM/WM best practices, industry trends, and advancements in technology, and proactively recommend process improvements and system enhancements to optimize supply chain operations.Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise in SAP MM/WM implementation methodologies, tools, and techniques. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM/WM, configuration, and support.Fluency in English is a must. French or German is an advantage.Soft skills – Stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, change management.Strong expertise in SAP MM/WM modules, including experience with submodules such as material master data, purchasing, inventory management, goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, and physical inventory.Proven experience in leading end-to-end SAP MM/WM implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and user training.In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and business processes, coupled with the ability to map business requirements to SAP MM/WM functionalities.Proficient in SAP MM/WM configuration, including material type configuration, procurement types, valuation types, movement types, and other relevant configuration elements.Strong understanding of integration points between SAP MM/WM and other SAP modules (e.g., FI, SD) and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues related to SAP MM/WM.Solid project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and deliver projects on time and within budget.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.SAP MM/WM certification is highly desirable.
