Description of the Role


At Dyson our Owner (customer) is central to everything we do and your role will make sure that owners are getting fantastic experiences via our 3rd party eCommerce partners.


As a Marketplace Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational development as well as the operational marketing of digital marketplaces in direct sales. You are expected to work closely with a network of internal and external partners across functions to bring these plans to life.


Accountabilities


Dyson is a fast paced and agile company. The below is an example of your main week to week accountabilities but is not a complete list.


  • Operational support for partner Galaxus
  • Elaboration and implementation of business and marketing plans of Dyson's direct sales on marketplaces and the continuous optimization and further development and development of growth strategies
  • Data analysis and derivation of recommendations for action for the continuous development of marketplaces
  • Management of external service providers
  • Planning and management of online campaigns on the partner platforms
  • Ensuring that partners' content requirements are met
  • Ensuring compliance with Dyson's partner requirements
  • Budget and sales responsibility for partner sales
  • Assortment, quantity and distribution planning
  • Monitoring of KPIs and preparation of reports
  • Strategic Planning and Business Development/Building of New Channels/Marketplaces
  • Close cooperation with internal functional areas, external providers and the parent company in the UK
  • Market and competition monitoring

Support Marketplace Manager to reach clearly defined Account Wise + Market Wise targets.


Support in setting and implementing Dyson’s commercial strategy with marketplace/pureplayer partners.


  • Project management: Lead/support project management process for new marketplace partners.
  • Activation: You will work closely with trade marketing on the setting and implementation of the commercial marketing plan- eg key season moments such as White Friday, Festive Season, Back to School, DSF, Saudi National Day, Blue Dot Sale.
  • Analysing and Forecasting: You’ll support the forecasting process for 3rd party eCom working closely with Demand Planning Team and Distributors on availability and orders.
  • Data and reporting: You will be comfortable reviewing data and making recommendations on how we should adjust our plans.
  • Account Management: You’ll be a key contact on the account for our Marketplaces business. You’ll need to manage complex group of demanding external stakeholders to get the best results for the Dyson business.
  • Online Digital Excellence programme owner: You will help with the tracking of our key digital experience requirements. In doing this, you work internally and externally with stakeholders.
  • External tracking and reporting: Monitoring and reporting key competitor trends and recommendations based on these.
  • Implement industry leading Marketplace owner experience: Work with stakeholders to ensure we are delighting owners at every touchpoint with Dyson- focus on driving registrations and live digital demo.
  • Agency partner for 3rd party retail business; working with web scraping platforms, Flixmedia etc on needs and requirements for all 3rd     party websites (pureplayers and omnichannel).
  • Handle complexity: Ability to manage various distributors, accounts and projects – prioritising and taking full accountability, where required.

Skills & Competencies.


You have completed a subject-related degree with a focus on e-commerce, marketing, economics or have completed adequate commercial vocational training


First relevant professional experience in the area listed above, in particular with Galaxus or other marketplaces


High affinity for digital business, digital marketing,


Experience with settlement processes on marketplaces


Strong communication skills, negotiation experience (internal or external) and very good time management, flexibility and quick adaptability


Proactive and solution-oriented way of working


Understanding of the Middle East & Africa markets and previous experience in this geography.


Fluent in English. Arabic beneficial.
