Job Description

The VIE will be responsible for supporting/assisting the following work:

● Assist in the implementation and maintenance of data governance frameworks and guidelines to ensure compliance, security, and data integrity.

● Collaborate with Data Engineer and the DB&T regional team to define strategies aiming to streamline data flow and integration processes.

● Contribute to the launch and management of the first regional data products and services portfolio, including referentials, a data catalog, regional dashboard…

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide data-driven solutions.

● Support various data department programmes, including the Data Capture Programme, Master Data Management, and Implementation of a Dashboard Factory.

● Identify and address data-related issues or challenges that may impact data operations.

● Support the Data Acculturation initiatives and contribute to training programs and workshops to enhance awareness and adoption.

● Collaborate and coordinate with Regional Data Communities, including Data Owners, Legal & DPO, and Business Analysts, to ensure alignment and effective communication.

● Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data requirements to deliver actionable insights.

● Extract, process, clean and analyze large sets of different domain data to solve most use cases for operation and customer-centric projects.

● Assist in the development and maintenance of KPI dashboards using tools like Looker Studio and Power BI.

Qualifications

A Master degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. 

A year of proven experience in data governance and management, with exposure to consulting or related experience.

Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic and/or French would be a plus.

Certifications in relevant areas such as data governance, GCP/AWS cloud platforms, or project management would be advantageous.
